Now all those people who were comparing Kobe to Jordan will finally shut up.
The Celtics wanted it more and they took it. Better balance, better team.
How my Cavs extended them to 7 when Kobe's Lakers only survived 5 is beyond me

"Now all those people who were comparing Kobe to Jordan will finally shut up."
Let me start of by saying I'm from Chicago, I went to four out of the six Bulls rallies after they won and I'm a huge Bulls and Jordan fan.
Kobe is a great player and if anyone in the NBA is the next Jordan it's him. He had a bad series and his team didn't do much to help him.
Jordan had some bad playoff series but he also had Pippen there to make up for it. Whether it was Pippen, Cartwright, Armstrong, Paxson, Kerr or a plethora of other players the Bulls always had someone step up when Jordan was playing bad.
If you look at the Lakers, the games Odom and Gasol played well, they won.
Kobe can only do so much, just like Jordan, the differnce in this series was Kobes supporting cast played like garbage.

this Laker fan has to say hats off to the celtics. they were simply the better team. great lock-down D when they needed it, great from beyond the arc, great depth on the bench. they had the lakers continually chasing the game.
congrats.

Jordan with the Wizards still did some messed up things like being the only guy to score 50 plus at 38.
Still he shoulda stayed gone and left that final shot on the Jazz be his swan song. perfect ending.
was almost funny in a sad way to see him go in for those old swooping twisting drives and layups and having that old beat down body betray him.
But he still managed to average 20 plus for the Wizards, dead legs or not.
nice Jordan moment with the Wizards:

I don't think he appreciated being blocked
just a sick play for an old-timer
THAT'S the kind of heart and pride that wins 6 titles
Kobe? come on

I am glad that Boston won not because I like Boston but I hate the Lakers above all. I am a Golden State Warriors fan and I was through the drought, not just last years playoff miracle. The Warriors have to build through good drafting and trading and get good the hard way. The Lakers get good because great players sign for far below their market value to win a championship in hollywood. I am so glad that when Malone and Payton jumped on the bandwagon they left with no title.

Championship is spelled T-E-A-M, and the Celtics demonstrated that throughout the series. The three stars were great, but the biggest difference between the Celtics and the Lakers was on the bench, where Posey, Brown, House, Powe, Cassell, and Davis each stepped up when called upon to help the TEAM. And, giving credit where it is due, Doc Rivers simply outcoached the vaunted Phil Jackson.

You are right Oscar, based on my observations and on watching the series i saw that Celtics are more balanced and they worked as a team compare to Lakers or should I say Kobe's team... he thought he can win by himself and this mentality went wrong he needs his team mates to win that is basketball, and Celtics is a great team they work as a team and play as a team...

I have my reservations about the coaching. I saw so many times where Boston should have had a fast break and easy basket but their heads were up their ass. Then again I was watching the Warriors under crazy genius Nellie. The Dubs face the Suns who have out run every team in the league. Nellie's game plan, out run the runners, and it worked. I heard one of the announcers after the game discussing the coaching and he said if Nellie was the Lakers coach he would have 5 midgets shooting 3's instead of just watching the starters lose. I think that Boston's success was more due to the Lakers just not doing crap on defense.

This win of Celtics over Lakers was a massacre.. they want the championship ring badly and they are more aggressive and they are more focused on the game compare to Lakers, and Kobe put his team on his shoulders in the third quarter not realizing the potential of his team mates especially their reserves, this is one thing Kobe and his team must learn to win and grow as well.

The blending of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce with the rest of the parts is a wondrous thing.

I hate cheering for a Boston team, but now that they've all won their major championships in the past couple of years at least we can all not feel bad for anyone anymore.
