Yep, it's official. Favre had a good run, but I think it's a good time for him to pack it in.

Not really. Knowing the average Packer, he'll tolerate the next 25 years of loosing because he's a "loyal" fan. That comes from ridding the short bus to school.

As a non-Packer fan living in Wisconsin, good riddance. For the last several years he's threatened to leave and held the community hostage. Good run, you are one of the best QB around but it's time to go. Have a nice life.

I wish he would've gone one more year. He will really be missed by all football fans.

Spamming an article about the end of one of the greatest careers in NFL history is pretty low, even for you. Get a clue and get a life. Spammer.

Little bitterness there, OldHickory? Isn't Favre's record against the Bears like 232-6? LOL>>>

Seriously, you gotta admit he was one of the all-time greats and a true class act.

Well, there it goes. Truly one of the all-time great football players and a real class act. What a guy.

No matter who you are, wasn't it fun to watch a guy love to play the game so much? It was for me.

I was always a bit more of a baseball fan... but then again, I'm from Missouri. We all know how the Rams did and how the Cardinals (baseball, not football here) have done the last few years... so maybe that's why I don't watch football much! Though I did watch College football this season and last!

I was at the mall here in Ga buying a Brett Farve jersey when they broke in on the tv and announced that he had just retired. I looked at the jersey in my hand which was 50% off and bought a second one.

Favre watching in off-season has become an annual rite. I'm glad he's leaving after a good year. I'm sure that there are a number of teams that will be happy not to see him any more. You have to give the guy credit for being out there week after week after week. Plus one doesn't get to do that unless one is pretty good.
