u.s. didnt do much in the 2006 cup and Portugal was in the semi-finals

plus, in the last world cup, we were the only team to take points from italy, the eventual champ, when we played them to a tie in the group stage.
we are catching up.
but we won't be invited to poland in 2012. thats just for euro nations.
I'll be there for the 2010 European Championship in Germany.
