"The guy admits he was dumping stuff on my property," Brown told The Associated Press. "I have more than a few neighbors. Some of them dump trash onto my property. If I see it I'll put a limb over the fence into their yard. It's a subtle way of saying 'please stop dumping."'

"He got irate and he threatened me, he's threatening to take me out. I stepped back away from the fence, took the gun out of my pocket and held it by my side. I think it was something anybody would have done in my situation."

What a croc of BS!!! Pulling a gun over a trash dispute is NOT something I would have done! Brown probably can not even see the area from his pool or his bedroom window or his home theater room!! Here's a NEW concept: If you would like to "subtly" say "please stop dumping", then try just SAYING it! Give that man some more psychologically-induced, power-enhancing STEROIDS & send him to Iraq so he can get an idea of a REAL dispute! What a phony!

What a waste of a human being this guy is! I am a HUGE baseball/Diamondbacks fan and saw Brownie take on Randy Johnson as well as Curt Schilling here in person... talk about pitchers' duels. Mr. Brown was known and still is known for his deadly accuracy as a lefty, but moreso for his TEMPER - this man has one of the very worst tempers in all of pro sports. When I saw this story, I just laughed out loud repeatedly... of all the things, Kevin Brown has done, this has to be one of the best. He pulls a gun on his neighbor over some trash dispute? LOL. This man defined the term 'clubhouse cancer' - he was/is flat-out evil. This guy has a serious problem in dealing with situations beyond his control and becomes a raging out of control lunatic. Remember when he broke his hand in like four places when he pounded the Yankees dugout wall and missed starting the rest of the season? He reacts before he even thinks of the consequences of his actions as this story so aptly points out. WTG, Kevin!

First of all...who in the hell walks around with a gun in their pocket???? And he is very wrong when he says "it was something anyone would have done in my situation". I wouldn't be pulling a gun on anyone, especially over trash!

I guess the steroids were kicking in the extra testosterones about that time!

Another multimillionaire ex jock who never learned how to deal with situations on his own. There is no agent, manager or team PR hack to cover for him now. Poor baby.

              Ed....

I'm not "upset", it has nothing to do w/owning/carrying a gun, its about his VERY SHORT fuse! If he has a problem (or PERCEIVES a prob) w/ his neighbors, then the FIRST thing to do would be to speak to them, NOT throw tree branches over the fence, and then when the neighbor calls HIM out to pull the gun out! If he's so bad, why not threaten him w/some good old fashioned a$$ whoppin'--the steroids obviously give him some power, eh?

And since he is an EX-allstar, he will probably get a slap on the wrist--like OJ--and we, the public will have to wait & see what happens next. At least I know I won't be the one to pss him off next! But what will he do next time--point the gun at him or just pull the trigger, why not?

I think your comments, Ed, are just to rile E1 up about gun ownership, which is not the point of this story about lunatic steroid-using A$$HOLE who loses his temper over something so trivial. Brown has the money, why doesn't he go and buy an island somewhere with no ppl

...so he doesnt have to be bothered or bother others?

                OR...

Here's a concept: Use your money to get yourself off the mind altering drugs and learn other ways to manage your anger and cope with REALITY!!!!!!!
